One nice thing about editing lots of random articles is that the editors focused on those articles notice.
The “Alerts” box, can let you know about events such as your user rights changing, particular edits being reverted, or people leaving notes on your talk page, also can show little “thank you” notes:
If you appreciate the work somebody is doing, you can send them a quick thank-you by clicking the “thank” link next to one of their edits in an article’s edit history:
